‘6E Shuffle’: IndiGo, Spotify partner up to offer flyers personalised playlists, complimentary subscription plan | Business News

IndiGo is adding a musical element to its range of in-flight services. 6E Shuffle, a new feature in collaboration with Spotify, will let IndiGo customers generate personalised travel playlists on the basis of their destinations, moods and genre preferences, a press release announced.
Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer, IndiGo, said they are “delighted to announce collaboration with Spotify to offer their customers a one-of-a-kind travel experience with a complimentary 4-month subscription and personalised playlists.”
The offer also includes direct flight bookings with IndiGo. The global audio platform will also offer travellers with destination suggestions for their next travel, tailored to their music tastes and preferences, the release added.
Speaking about the collaboration, Neha Ahuja, Director of Marketing, Spotify India said: “Music is an integral part of travel, whether for work or holidays, and our partnership with IndiGo is so relevant because it allows us to tap into existing and new users.”

Recent data from Spotify revealed that travel-related music remained the top search for listeners in India – an average of 22 lac+ times per month. Gen Z listeners, aged 18-24 topped the list in searches for travel-music genre. Interestingly, the most common time for these searches is between 3 to 4 pm, and, this year, travel-related music searches on Spotify in India peaked on April 20.
As a part of this collaboration, the brands will release a video featuring Indian Pop artist, Armaan Malik, to inspire IndiGo travellers to ‘tune in and take off in style, as there’s music for miles’.

This year alone, Indian listeners on Spotify created several lakhs of playlists around travelling, with more than 7.5 lakh playlists created around ‘driving’, followed by ‘travel’, ‘bus’, and ‘road trip’, as per Ahuja.
