Air India Express to start direct flights between Pune and Bangkok from December 20 | Business News

Air India Express (AIX) announced on Wednesday that it will launch direct flights between Pune and Bangkok starting December 20. AIX will offer three weekly flights between Pune and the Thai capital, with fares starting at Rs 6,500 for Xpress Lite and Rs 7,000 for Xpress Value.
As per the official press release, the Pune-Bangkok flight departs at 8.40 am and arrives at 2.30 pm, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The return flight from Bangkok to Pune departs at 3.35 pm and arrives at 6.25 pm on the same days.
This follows the recent launch of IndiGo’s direct international services to Bangkok and Dubai. According to official information, this announcement comes as AIX celebrates crossing the milestone of serving over 50 destinations globally. AIX also announced plans for a direct service between Surat and Bangkok.
The release stated, “Air India Express has reached a significant milestone in its expanding network, now connecting 51 destinations across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Operations to Bangkok will commence on December 20, 2024, with direct flights linking Surat and Pune to Thailand’s vibrant capital.”

Air India Express currently operates 75 weekly flights from Pune, providing direct connections to nine destinations: Bangkok, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, and Lucknow.
