Now link your Club Vistara and Flying Returns accounts for more ‘rewarding travel experience’ | Business News

By year-end, India is set for a major aviation shift as Tata Group’s Air India merges with Vistara, its joint venture with Singapore Airlines, in a push for a rapid transition to one full-service carrier under the Air India brand.
In May, Club Vistara announced its “frequent flyer” programme would merge with Air India’s Reimagined Flying Returns programme.
As a part of their ongoing merging programme, the Club Vistara team, in an email communication, said that frequent flyers who hold Club Vistara memberships will have to link their Club Vistara and Flying Returns accounts. The CV membership will continue until the integration is complete.
How to link your Club Vistara and Flying Returns accounts:
1. Log In: Access your Club Vistara account by logging in with your credentials.
2. Link Accounts: Go to the ‘My Account’ section and select ‘Link Accounts’.
3. Submit ID: Enter your 9-digit Flying Returns Membership ID and click ‘Submit’ to initiate the linking process.
Next, if these five key details match between your Club Vistara and Flying Returns accounts, you’ll receive a confirmation message and an email acknowledgment:

– First Name
– Last Name
– Email Address
– Phone Number (not needed for minor accounts)
– Date of Birth
This means your accounts have been successfully linked.
Here’s what to do if the details don’t match
If any of the key details don’t match between your accounts, you’ll be informed to update the specific fields in either your Club Vistara or Flying Returns account.
After making the updates, resubmit your Flying Returns Membership ID using the steps provided. This will help ensure your accounts are correctly linked before the final integration. All linked Club Vistara accounts will be merged into your Flying Returns account.
Going forward, during the migration, if your Club Vistara account is successfully linked to your Flying Returns account, the Club Vistara team will merge the two accounts. Your CV Points, Tier Points, and any Vouchers will be transferred to your Flying Returns account.

All linked Club Vistara accounts will be combined with your Flying Returns ID.
Here’s what happens if your Club Vistara account isn’t linked to a Flying Returns account by the time of the merger:
If the details in the five fields of the current Flying Returns account match those in the Club Vistara account, Air India will merge the two accounts for a “unified experience”.
However, if there are discrepancies in any of these details, Air India will create a new Flying Returns account and transfer the CV Points, Tier Points, and Vouchers (if any) to the new account.
Here’s how to merge duplicate accounts
Each Flying Returns account must have a unique phone number and email address. If the CV team duplicates contact details or multiple accounts under your name, you will be given the option to merge these extra accounts to your main account. The team will send instructions on how to do this when it’s time.

However, nominee details from your Club Vistara account will not be transferred automatically. You will need to add them manually to your Flying Returns account after the migration.
Apart from merging Air India and Vistara, the group is also in the process of merging its budget carriers Air India Express and AIX Connect (formerly AirAsia India). Once both the mergers are complete, the Air India group will have a full-service carrier Air India and a low-cost airline Air India Express.
